I am a Support Escalation Engineer with the Microsoft Commercial Technical Support Latin America team. I have been working in Microsoft Las Colinas for the past 7 years.   In 1996, I started working as a Support Engineer in Mexico City as an outsourcing for Microsoft. My first 6 and a half years here in Las Colinas my specialty was Directory Services and Security. About 6 months ago I moved to the Development Support area within my team to support Internet Information Server and eventually COM+, ASP .NET and SQL Server. Software has been always my passion and working for Microsoft has been a dream come true. It is just great to know you are working for a company that is changing the World. My other passion is sports. I play soccer 4 times a week and my favorite vacations are ski trips.               I am a Support Escalation Engineer for Exchange server in the Las Colinas campus (Dallas – Fort Worth area). I’ve been in the industry since 1987. I joined Microsoft in 1996 as Technical Specialist working with different infrastructure technologies for the Enterprise space. I moved then as a Senior Consultant for Microsoft Consulting Services where I worked for 4 years, managing and implementing AD, Infrastructure and Exchange projects for enterprise customers in 7 countries in Latin America. My primary focus today is Exchange support covering all versions, and almost all aspects of the product except for foreign connectors. Although my passion for technology is what drives my days, I still manage to make room for mountain biking, backpacking, and kayaking among other outdoor activities.               I started my carrier at Microsoft when the Y2K bug was coming in 1999/2000. That was a great experience, we had a big party here at Microsoft, working during the New Year Eve Celebration :). Besides being in technical support I have a background in Business, I hold Bachelor Degree in Business and a MBA in Business Administration for Information Technology. It’s great to have a view of our customers’ environment from the business perspective. Currently I’m a Support Escalation Engineer at Microsoft with focus on Windows Performance/Setup cases. Platforms/OS technology is what I’m passionate about. Besides work, I like to read and watch news, especially business news. My old hobby is gardening / landscaping. My new one is Piloting Remote Control airplanes and helicopters. Having my family around; my wife and 2 wonderful kids, is the most satisfying feeling in live to me.
